We decided to add a login option to one of the blogs so users have choices of either signup with the blogs, or just use their Facebook account to log into our blogs. Here we go, we have found this wonderful WordPress plugin called ” WP-FB-AutoConnect”, developed by Justin Klein.

The proceedue of installing and connect to FB is really not difficult. But due to some of the name changing, the instruction needs to be changed coorespondingly! Here it goes:

Instructions

To allow your users to login with their Facebook accounts, you must first setup an Application for your site:

1. Visit www.facebook.com/developers/createapp.php
2. Note, if this is the first time you setup a FB application, they need you to provide the credit information to verify you. Do not worry, FB will not charge you, at least they did not charge me:-) — BTW, by using the mobile number to verify is not working.
3. Type in a name (i.e. the name of your blog). This is what Facebook will show on the login popup.
4. Pass the security check (the really hard-to-read fonts)

We were working  on a security website, before the shopping cart section was published, the site worked just wonderfully. But as soon as the shopping cart went alive, every page after clicking on the shopping section, there would be a security warning message showing up in IE browser… We looked into all the possibilities, and finally realized that the script for the “Share this” icons were pulling from a none-secure website.
